OUR PILLARS

1. Supporting Craft & Communities- Sewing the seeds

It is important to us that we honour our roots. We always want to uplift those who help us create our garments, so we have collaborated with ethical NGOs and similar establishments as a priority, joined hands with sewing the seeds hands with underprivileged / small but mighty communities to create.  Our roots also involve Indian crafts, as these traditional systems often produce more sustainably than our modern processes.

2. Fair practices

At Threads of India We follow fair practices for our artisans and this ensures that they are free to manage their own hours without production deadlines, providing flexibility to enjoy life at a slower pace.

3. Empowering women

We partner with and support 100+ women artisan and their families and their legacy in craft. They give us the confidence to bring these products to you. Ever since we started, 2023, we have loved working with these women who use their skills to hand-weave and block printing on many of our organic cotton pieces. We first collaborated with them to create our ‘block print collection’ entirely created from  engraving a design on the material, known as the block, inking the design, and then using the block as a stamp on the fabricfrom the fabric they provide us, pairing up our love of all things green  with a craft that is treasured and beloved here in India. From then on, they have grown with us and have been involved in almost every collection after.

4. Upcycled products
