As a part of the fashion industry we are very aware of the detrimental effects of fast fashion on our planet. Hence we very consciously made a choice to be a 'slow fashion' brand. 

Slow fashion is the widespread reaction to fast fashion the argument for hitting the brakes on excessive production, overcomplicated supply chains, and mindless consumption. We advocate for manufacturing that respects people, the environment and animals. Threads of India is starting with a mission to create unity between craftsmanship and modern fashion and by doing that we have empowered women in the workplace who believe in strong eyes and the legacy of contemporary art forms. We encourage Indian artisans, their families, and communities to keep their sustainable craftsmanship alive and rise above impoverished and outdated circumstances. Every purchase contributes directly to supporting women empowerment initiatives in India.

    Natural Fibre 

A choice that came very naturally to us is to continue to only use natural fibres in our garments. These materials are biodegradeable and hence healthier for the ecosystem. We have pledged never to use polyesters and other non bio-degradable materials which affect the environment as a whole on multiple levels.

Slow Fashion

We only produce 2-3 collections every year and that too in small batches. We completely disregard over-production which causes over-utilisation of environmental resources. We produce goods out of upcycled fabric to ensure zero wastage and best utilisation of every single bit of fabric construction.
